Bloran began in a rented wet-lab bench on Pearl Street with a single conviction: that the gap between dermatology and at-home skincare was a data problem, not a formulation problem. Six years later we operate an 18,000 sq ft FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility, hold three issued patents on microfluidic skin-barrier sampling, and ship a personalized regimen to every customer within 72 hours of diagnosis.

§ 01 · The Founders

Two disciplines, one compounding bench.

Bloran was built by a pharmaceutical R&D lead who had spent eleven years inside Galderma's prescription-dermatology pipeline, and a computational biologist trained on microbiome time-series at EMBL. They share a single thesis: skin response is data, and data deserves a formulation engine.

Maren spent eleven years inside Galderma's prescription-dermatology pipeline, where she led the early translational work on barrier-restoration peptides for sensitive-skin phenotypes. She is the named inventor on three of Bloran's issued microfluidic patents, oversees the 22-person clinical advisory board, and personally signs off on every flagged regimen before compounding.

Theo trained as a computational biologist at EMBL Heidelberg, where his dissertation modeled Staphylococcus dynamics on compromised skin barriers. At Bloran he builds the diagnostic-to-formulation pipeline, the adaptive refill algorithm that ingests every customer's daily skin-diary response telemetry, and the data infrastructure behind the company's 11 published clinical studies.

§ 02 · The 72-Hour Process

From the moment your kit arrives to the moment your regimen ships.

Every Bloran regimen is compounded to order inside our 18,000 sq ft FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility in Boulder. No white-label stock, no contract manufacturer — every batch is traceable from raw API to your doorstep, and every flagged formulation is reviewed by a human clinician before it is released.

  1. 01 Hour 0–4

    Kit intake & CLIA-validated assay

    The microfluidic cartridge is unsealed under ISO-classified airflow, the sample is logged into our LIMS, and the 92.4%-concordant skin-barrier and microbiome assay begins. No human touches the sample without gloves and a documented chain-of-custody entry.

  2. 02 Hour 4–28

    Diagnostic read & clinician review

    The assay output is scored against our reference library of 14,200+ prior tests, then a board-certified dermatologist on our 22-person advisory board reviews the read, the customer's stated concern, and any flagged contraindications.

  3. 03 Hour 28–56

    Compounding & QC release

    The formulation is compounded under cGMP in our 503B cleanroom, filled into biodegradable refill pods, and released only after stability, pH, and microbial limits pass. Every batch carries a unique lot number traceable from API to doorstep.

  4. 04 Hour 56–72

    Cold-chain dispatch

    The regimen is packed in temperature-controlled, carbon-neutral cold-chain packaging and shipped to all 50 states via overnight carrier. Delivery is signature-required, and the customer is notified the moment the box leaves the dock.

Average door-to-door cadence across 142,000+ customers: 71.4 hours. Cold-chain integrity is logged from dock to doorstep on every shipment.
